GetNoticed
How we carried out the migration GetNoticed from Asana to ClickUp in two days?
“We were very apprehensive about switching from Asana to ClickUp because the volume of data was really large, and we couldn’t afford any chaos or downtime. The most important thing for us was to preserve the team’s workflow, comments, and files, while at the same time transitioning to the new tool in an organized manner.”
Challenge
Challenge
GetNoticed needed to migrate its entire work environment from Asana to ClickUp without losing any data or disrupting the team’s workflow, while also creating a better foundation for further process automation.
- Asana had a complex structure of projects and tasks, with up to 5 levels of nesting.
- Not only did the files need to be transferred, but also the comments and thousands of other files, all of which had to end up in exactly the right places.
- The migration had to be planned so that the team could transition to the new environment without chaos and without the need for additional manual synchronization of changes.
Results
What have we accomplished together?
- 166 510
- items moved to ClickUp
- 37%
- shorter migration time
- 2 days
- to carry out a full migration and launch the new environment
The Process
How did we do it ?
- 1
First, we mapped out the entire workflow
We mapped out Asana's structure so that we could replicate the layout of projects, tasks, and subtasks 1:1 in ClickUp, including the deep hierarchy, which in this case went down to 5 levels.
- 2
We have automated large-scale migration
We developed a dedicated, multi-threaded migration process that transferred tasks, comments, and files without the need for manual data entry. This allowed us to maintain order even with a very large volume of items.
- 3
We secured the transition so that the team wouldn't experience any downtime
We completed the migration within the planned timeframe, minimizing the risk of disruptions to GetNoticed’s day-to-day operations. At the same time, we ensured data backup and security so that the transition to ClickUp was managed carefully at every stage.
Additional objectives
What else have we accomplished?
- The team's readiness to work from day one
- A Better Foundation for the Automation of Operational Processes
- Greater control over data and accountability

Customer review
“We were transitioning from Asana to ClickUp with a lot of trepidation, because the volume of data was really large, and we couldn’t afford any chaos or downtime. The most important thing for us was to preserve the team’s workflow, comments, and files, while at the same time transitioning to the new tool in an organized manner. In the end, the entire process went much more smoothly than we’d anticipated, and we were able to start working in ClickUp quickly without having to manually recreate the data. For us, this wasn’t just a tool migration—it was also an important step toward better-organized processes. What was equally important to us was the availability of the Tigers team throughout the entire process. Paweł kept us in the loop, worked side by side with our people, and given the scale of our team and data, that made a huge difference."
